COLUMBIA, S.C. — LaNorris Sellers may not be the most experienced quarterback in the Gamecock QB room but when it comes to running the Gamecock offense, no one in that room is more experienced than Sellers.
After spending his freshman season watching and learning the way Spencer Rattle ran the offense from his QB1 position, Sellers is ready to see if he can be the guy behind center.
The sophomore from Florence made three appearances as a freshman. His debut came against Furman and he was 4-for-4 for 86 yards and two touchdowns. In the win over Vanderbilt, Sellers scored on a 36-yard run and he rushed for nine yards in the Kentucky win.
Sellers says his second spring has allowed him to actually understand the process of the system and why things are run as they are as opposed to last year when he was learning the system "on the fly".
