EUGENE, Ore. — The South Carolina men's track and field team has concluded its run in the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon.
Anass Essayi earned First Team All-America honors for the second consecutive season as he finished eighth in the 1500 meter run with a time of 3:40.81. Channing Ferguson was named a Second Team All-American in the men’s high jump, adding to his Second Team All-America recognition from Wednesday’s long jump. Ferguson cleared 2.12m (6-11.5) in the high jump, finishing tied for 11th in the field.
Those performances follow Wednesday's events which saw Dylan Targgart earn a bronze medal, earning First Team All-American honors as he threw 20.23m (66-4.25) in the shot put.
The Gamecock Men left the Pacific Northwest with seven All-America honors under first year head coach Tim Hall.
