Lewis, Harris Leaving USC Football Program

USC is losing a pair of defensive players who are transferring.

(Gamecock Central.com) Rising senior linebacker Kaiwan Lewis will not play his final season of eligibility at South Carolina, the Pleasantville, N.J. native announced on his Twitter account Monday afternoon.

Neither will rising senior defensive end Mason Harris who announced the same on his Twitter account hours later.

Lewis was third on the team in tackles with 54 as a sophomore in 2013 while splitting time at middle linebacker, but saw his playing time reduced in 2013 when he played in eight games and collected 20 tackles and a sack.

The 6-foot, 228-pounder was considered a three-star prospect and the No. 48 outside linebacker in the country out by Rivals.com out of St. Joseph High in 2012.

Harris, a former three-star prospect from Ridgeland High in Rossville, Ga., finished his junior season with seven tackles including a sack.
