USC's A'ja Wilson Named USA TODAY Player of the Year

The senior, who is now the school's all-time leader in points, has helped guide the team to four consecutive SEC Tournament Championships and of course, last year's national title.

USA TODAY Sports introduces its 2018 Women’s Basketball All-America team, featuring one of the most unique players in the women’s game (South Carolina's A’ja Wilson), a coach who led her team to a regular season title despite a stunning number of injuries (Notre Dame's Muffet McGraw) and a sophomore guard already rewriting the triple-double record books.

Wilson, in fact, is the USA TODAY Player of the Year. The senior, who is now the school's all-time leader in points, has helped guide the team to four consecutive SEC Tournament Championships, three SEC regular season titles, and of course, last year's national title.

It's the first time at South Carolina player has been USA TODAY's National Player of the Year.
