PARIS, France — Team USA swimmer Katharine Berkoff won a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics -- exactly 32 years after her father did in the same event.

Earlier this week, Katharine took to social media to express her excitement about her bronze medal win in the women's 100-meter backstroke.

"So happy that I got to earn another medal for Team USA last night. I’m feeling so grateful for my community of people. Thank you to everyone supporting me along the way. ❤️" she wrote.

Katharine's win came exactly 32 years after her father, David Berkoff, won bronze in the men's 100m backstroke at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics.
