A new season of minor league baseball in Columbia is underway.
The Columbia Fireflies opened the 2019 season Thursday night at Segra Park. Unfortunately, the Charleston Riverdogs spoiled the party as they came away with a 2-1 victory.
Hayden Senger's RBI double in the fourth was the lone run for the home team.
Game two of the series is set for Friday night at 7:05 p.m.
