COLUMBIA, S.C. —
This weekend, we'll experience warm and mostly dry conditions thanks to high pressure over the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
Temperatures will be near or slightly above normal. A cold front will move through on Monday night, bringing cooler and drier air for the rest of the workweek.
Today, expect high clouds early in the morning, with some clearing into the afternoon as a front approach from the north, though it won’t bring much moisture. Most areas will stay dry, with only a slight chance of an isolated shower. Temperatures will be warm, reaching the mid-80s, and tonight, it’ll cool down to the mid-60s.
Looking ahead to Sunday and Monday, the weather will stay dry and warm, with temperatures continuing in the low to mid-80s. Monday night, a cold front will move through, bringing cooler air but no rain. The cooler weather will start to become noticeable on Tuesday, with temperatures dropping and drier air settling in.
For the rest of the week, expect a refreshing change in the weather. It will be cooler and less humid from Tuesday onward. There’s also no significant concern about tropical activity, as any potential development in the Gulf is expected to stay well south of our area.
