LEXINGTON, S.C. — An ambulance transporting a patient was involved in a minor accident on Friday afternoon, authorities say.
According to a Lexington County spokesperson, the ambulance was taking a patient to Lexington Medical Center when it was involved in the minor accident in front of the hospital on Sunset Boulevard around 1 p.m.
The county spokesperson said the other vehicle involved also sustained minor damage and no injuries were reported. Authorities haven't said exactly how the crash occurred.
The ambulance crew was able to complete its delivery of the patient to the hospital.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
