COLUMBIA, S.C. — Bluff Road has reopened after Columbia-Richland Fire crews battled a two-alarm fire on Thursday evening.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to a property in the 4500 block of Bluff Road, where a fire ripped through a commercial property according to officials.

Officials said the fire had moved through the interior of the property and began showing through the roof, which prompted officers on scene to call for a 2nd alarm and dispatching more crews.

The building was an old convenience store that was vacant. No injuries have been reported.

As of 10:25 p.m. the fire had been extinguished, according to officials.

The Richland County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.
