COLUMBIA, S.C. — A city worker in Columbia was hospitalized on Friday after an incident involving a cement truck.
Columbia Police said the engineering worker and others were at the corner of Main Street and Elmwood Avenue working to fix malfunctioning traffic lights when the cement truck hit his truck. While police didn't share the worker's official condition, he was described as stable.
Police were initially at the scene directing traffic, but authorities said the intersection has since been reopened.
