Adults, child killed in Orangeburg County crash identified by coroner

The crash is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. — The Orangeburg County Coroner's Office has released the names and ages of three people killed in a Tuesday evening crash.

According to Coroner Samuetta Marshall, 35-year-old Kristen Johnson and 3-year-old Sabrina Ann Johnson of Orangeburg and 33-year-old Stacey Brown of Summerville were killed in the crash, which happened around 6:15 p.m. on U.S. Hwy. 301 north or Orangeburg.

Master Trooper Brandon Bolt with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the 2014 Freightliner tractor-trailer was heading west on Cross Creek Drive when it entered the intersection and was struck by a 2002 Mustang carrying all three of the victims who died.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured and was the only occupant of that vehicle.

The crash is under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
