CLARENDON COUNTY, S.C. — A Friday night crash in Clarendon County left one person dead, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Corporal David Jones said the crash happened around 7:20 p.m. on Salem Road near Burnt Branch Road and involved a single vehicle, a 2003 Dodge Caravan. Jones said the van was heading east on Salem Road when it went off the right side, hit a tree and flipped.
The Clarendon County Coroner's Office hasn't yet released the name of the victim. Jones said the crash is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
