Crash on I-26 in Calhoun County

CALHOUN COUNTY, S.C. — Drivers along a portion of I-26 heading in either direction should expect delays as crews work to clear two crashes.

According to maps from the South Carolina Department of Transportation, there appear to be two separate accidents on the highway - one on eastbound I-26 at Exit 125 to Old Sandy Run Road and another on westbound I-26 about one mile east of the same exit.

Highway cameras for the eastbound crash don't clearly show the crash but do show ambulances on the scene and most lanes blocked though cars appear to be moving in the right lanes.

The camera on the westbound crash shows multiple vehicles pulled into the center median and the fire department on the scene. One lane is currently blocked and traffic is bottlenecked to the right lane.

Both incidents are causing a significant backup for drivers at this time.
