COLUMBIA, S.C. — Southern Commercial Development, the traffic control division for CSX, has announced the rail company will be closing a rail crossing on Atlas Road in order to make repairs.
The crossing on Atlas Road between Veterans Road and Atlas Court will be closed at 7 a.m. Wednesday, December 7, and is scheduled to reopen 6 p.m. Friday, December 9. CSX workers will be putting in a panel at this crossing.
Atlas Road will be closed to through traffic while work is being done, motorists should seek an alternative route.
