LEXINGTON, S.C. — Lexington police are urging drivers to be cautious as crews work to assemble a new overpass overnight.
Throughout the night, police say emergency personnel and construction crews will be assembling the Dooley Road overpass.
Police urge driver to pay extra attention to lane shifts, along with stop-and-go traffic.
At times, Augusta Road may be shut down entirely, according to police, as beams are suspended and moved in place.
If possible, police ask drivers to avoid the area altogether.
