CALHOUN COUNTY, South Carolina — Eastbound lanes of Interstate 26 in Calhoun County are reopen after a two car collision, where one vehicle was on fire, blocked the lanes, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
In the latest update around 5 p.m., the SCHP reports that eastbound lanes of I-26 near the 126 mile marker are open once again.
That's about one mile from the Old Sandy Run Road exit. The accident happened around 2:48 p.m.
According to Trooper Tyler Tidwell, one vehicle was on fire.
This is the second collision that has blocked traffic on I-26 in Calhoun County in the last week. Last Friday, a five vehicle crash happened near the 136 mile marker in the westbound lanes.
One person died in that collision.
