AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities have identified a man who died when his tractor overturned into a pond on Wednesday morning.
Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables said the 81-year-old driver was operating a tractor in the 700 block of Old Jackson Highway near Jackson when it flipped into the nearby pond.
South Carolina Department of Natural Resources divers recovered the body of Donald Webb Sr., a resident of the Jackson area, from the pond around 12:30 p.m. An autopsy performed on Thursday determined Webb's cause of death to be drowning.
The Aiken County Coroner's Office and the Aiken County Sheriff's Office are investigating the incident.
