PELION, S.C. — The Lexington County Coroner's Office released the name of a woman who died after a crash earlier in the day, Monday.
In a statement, Coroner Margaret Fisher said that around noon, 21-year-old Madison Taylor Hayden of Gaston was heading north on Old Charleston Road in Pelion when she hit a dump truck and was hit by another vehicle.
Fisher said Hayden was not wearing a seatbelt during the crash and died at the scene.
The coroner's office and the Pelion Police Department are handling the investigation.
