SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities say one person has died days after a crash in Sumter sent three people to the hospital.

Corporal Nick Pye with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the initial crash happened on Nov. 13 around 8:15 a.m. on Queen Chapel Road near Ebenezer Road. Pye said a  2006 Honda sedan was heading east on Queen Chapel Road when it ran off the left side of the road, hitting a tree and a fence.
