RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities confirm one person is dead following a crash in northern Richland County on Wednesday night.
According to Master Trooper David Jones with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 9 p.m. near Blythewood.
Jones said a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling south on Grover Wilson Road near Dobson Road when it went off the road to the left and struck a tree. The driver, who was not publicly identified by the Highway Patrol, died at the scene.
The collision remains under investigation by the agency. No further details regarding how or why the vehicle left the road were released.
