RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — One person is dead and two injured after a collision involving two vehicles in eastern Richland County.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol's Master Trooper William Bennett, the collision occurred around 7:27 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, near the intersection of McCord's Ferry and Screaming Eagle roads.
A 2021 Toyota pickup was headed north on McCords Ferry/SC-601 when it struck a 2003 Ford pickup that was headed south on McCords Ferry. As a result of the crash, the Ford went off the road and hit an embankment. The driver of the Ford died at the scene from injuries.
The driver and passenger of the Toyota were taken to Prisma Health for their injuries sustained in the crash.
