CAYCE, S.C. — Drivers along one section of a major Lexington County Highway will likely see a slowdown in the coming weeks as state crews make drainage repairs.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) announced on Friday that dual lane closures will impact southbound travel on Hwy. 321 (Charleston Highway) in the area of Airport Boulevard beginning on Tuesday, Feb. 21.
In addition to increased delays during peak traffic hours, access to Williams Street will be closed at Charleston Highway and a detour will be in place on Platt Springs Road.
Current estimates have repairs being completed in the middle of March and lane closures will remain until those repairs are complete.
Northbound drivers shouldn't be impacted during this time.
