COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Police report an accident involving a Richland School District One school bus and a car near the intersection of Garners Ferry and Veterans Roads.
The collision happened Monday morning at that intersection, which is near the Dorn VA Hospital.
The driver of the car was taken to a local hospital for injuries sustained during the crash.
According to Richland One spokesperson, six students from Meadowfield Elementary School were on the bus at the time. The students were assessed by EMS at the scene and cleared, and then another school bus transported them to school. No injuries were reported for the students.
