Public comment sought for SCDOT's 12 closed bridge projects

South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks comment on 12 closed bridge projects in 10 counties, part of the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program

COLUMBIA, S.C. — The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking public input regarding twelve closed bridge projects across ten counties in the Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).

During the 21-day window that began August 12 and runs through September 1, 2022, interested members of the public will have a chance to comment on the projects -- including how SCDOT handles preliminary engineering, right of way, and construction phases of the work.

The STIP has planned projects from 2021 through 2027. SCDOT certifies that these twelve projects under consideration were chosen based on established priorities as federal laws or regulations and in accordance with SC Code of Laws Section 57-1-370, and SCDOT's 10 Year Plan.
