ELLOREE, S.C. — Authorities say an Elloree woman has died following a Saturday morning crash in Calhoun County roughly eight miles north of Cameron.
Master Trooper Mitchell Ridgeway with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 8:23 a.m. on Midway Road near Woodstock Trail. Ridgeway said a 2006 Honda sedan was heading north on Midway Road when it left the road to the left, struck a ditch and overturned.
The driver of the vehicle, later identified by the Calhoun County Coroner's Office as as 23-year-old Brianna Gourdine of Elloree, was taken to MUSC Health Orangeburg for treatment but died.
Ridgeway said the crash is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
