Commuters traveling on I-26 East Tuesday morning were frustrated by traffic delays due to a vehicle fire near Exit 129 (US-21).
The incident was first reported by S.C. Highway Patrol at 5:02 a.m. when both lanes of traffic were blocked.
At 6:09 a.m., SCHP reported just the right lane right lane of traffic was blocked, causing traffic to slow to an average speed of 6 miles an hour for a three-mile stretch for a period of time.
The fire was cleared and all lanes were reopened around 8 a.m., according to SCDOT.
No injuries were reported.
