COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Police Department released more details into an accident that occurred Thursday afternoon that left a gravestones in a local cemetery damaged.
After initially reporting that one truck crashed into Lincoln Cemetery on Farrow Road, it now appears that three vehicles were involved in the accident. The truck crashed into the cemetery as a result of the accident.
The cemetery is privately owned by Columbia's Leevy's Funeral Home. Representatives at Leevy's said 12 tombstones were knocked over and several other graves were affected.

Columbia Police report no injuries as a result of the vehicle accident and do not believe the damage to the cemetery was malicious in nature. The investigation into this incident continues.
