RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — One person has died several days after a two-vehicle crash in Richland County.
According to Lance Corporal William Bennett with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 3:20 p.m. on May 11 at the intersection of Bluff Road and Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Bennett said the two vehicles involved in the crash, an eastbound 2021 Mercedes sedan and a southbound 2006 Chrysler sedan, collided in the crash.
Authorities said two people in the Mercedes were taken to Prisma Richland Hospital for treatment. Bennett said, at some point since the initial crash, the passenger died.
The driver, and the only occupant of the Chrysler sedan, was not injured.
The Richland County Coroner's Office has not released the name of the victim.
