COLUMBIA, S.C. — In the next month, South Carolina students will be going back to school and many will ride school buses.
In a Youtube video posted by the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, they outline the basic rules to follow when stopping for a school bus.
On a two-lane toad with a school bus that has a stop sign out, vehicles on both sides of the road must stop.
When traveling on a multi-lane road, vehicles on the same side of the road as a stopped school bus are required to stop. A car traveling the opposite direction on a multi-lane road is not required to stop.
