GREENSBORO, N.C. — A herd of horses has been saved after being trapped in Black Mountain.
The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services said 22 horses were trapped. A team from ASAR Training and Response was sent out to help save the horses.
They traveled over creeks, rivers, and washed out roads in the North Carolina mountains to reach the horses. Once they found the horses, the rescue team even paddle-boarded food to the horses as they saved the herd.
