COLUMBIA, S.C. — More rounds of showers and storms are expected today as the remnants of Delta continue pushing east.
The center of the remnants of Delta will remain well removed and northwest of South Carolina, however tropical moisture will continue streaming in from the south. While the day will not be a washout, a few rounds of showers and storms are likely.
The Storm Prediction Center has mentioned that the Midlands are under the risk for a few storms to form with damaging winds and a brief spin-up tornado. The risk still remains on the low end and a watch is not likely at this time.
The chance for storms diminishes this evening, although a few isolated showers or storms are not out of the question through early Monday morning.
Temperatures today will climb into the low 80s across the area.
Tomorrow morning, most places will start in the upper 60s under mostly cloudy skies. There is an isolated chance for a lingering shower on Monday, but most people will remain dry as skies clear behind the remnants of Delta.
A dry and weak front will move through early Tuesday, but temperatures will remain on the warm and slightly humid side through midweek. High temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s.

The next chance for rain is an isolated chance on Friday as a stronger front moves through. Behind that front will be much cooler, Fall-like air for next weekend, as well as a big drop in the humidity.
