COLUMBIA, S.C. — This holiday weekend, the Midlands will experience dry and stable conditions. This is due to a high-pressure system aloft and at the surface.
The atmosphere is relatively dry, with dewpoints ranging from the upper 50s to the lower 60s. Temperature-wise, anticipate highs in the mid-to-high 80s.
High pressure will remain firmly in control, ensuring dry weather conditions continue. As we head into early next week, we will see a gradual warming trend, with temperatures reaching the upper 80s to lower 90s on Monday and the lower 90s by Tuesday. Overnight lows will also gradually rise, as well.
Looking further ahead, the Midlands may see an end to this dry period as a cold front approaches from the north late in the week. Currently, no chance of precipitation is in the forecast for Friday.
