COLUMBIA, S.C. — A very warm and summery pattern is expected ahead as the unofficial start of the summer is here! Looking at the holiday forecast things are looking pretty good with only a few chances of some rain in the forecast.
High pressure will be the main driver of our weather going forward which means plenty of sunshine in the forecast! Looking at Sunday we will be a bit warmer with highs right around 90. There will be a small chance of some thunderstorms in the afternoon as the sea breeze moves inland. Overall, most places should be dry though for Sunday.
Memorial Day looks to be more of the same with highs right around 90 with a very small chance of rain in the afternoon.
Looking further into next week, it looks like we will really be kicking up the heat! Highs will begin to climb with dry and sunny conditions starting on Tuesday. Highs will start off in the lower 90s but work up into the middle 90s towards the end of the week.
It does look like a cold front could stall out in the area Friday and into Saturday of next week. That would be our next best chance of rain.
