COLUMBIA, S.C. — After seeing scattered storms on Sunday, it looks like once again we will be dealing with wet weather as we go into the 4th of July. A cold front is moving through the state but is expected to stall. With all of this moisture in place, storms will be likely in the afternoon and evening hours with daytime heating getting us into the lower 90s in the afternoon.

Lows overnight should be right around the middle 70s as we keep a warm, but seasonable air mass in place.

Looking at the rest of next week, high pressure will be centered to our west which means we will see daily rounds of thunderstorms across the Carolinas, including here in the Midlands. Wednesday does look to be one of the drier days ahead which allow temperatures to possibly reach the upper 90s.

Rain chances will continue through the end of the week and into next weekend with lows in the middle 70s and highs in the lower to middle 90s.
