COLUMBIA, S.C. — On Sunday, expect mostly calm and pleasant weather as high pressure continues to dominate.  While the day will remain partly sunny and warm, we’re also watching for a cold front that’s set to arrive Monday night, bringing a cooler and drier change for the rest of the week. You can expect temperatures to hover near or slightly above normal, with highs reaching the low to mid-80s.

As for Tropical Storm Milton, it’s expected to pass to the south later in the week. While we won’t get a direct hit, there’s a chance we’ll experience some breezy conditions on Thursday as the system moves through.

Sunday night, clear skies will allow temperatures to dip into the low-60s, setting up a pleasant evening. However, with those clear skies comes the potential for fog. If you’re planning to head out early on Monday, be cautious of thick fog around sunrise.

Looking ahead to Monday and Tuesday, there is a small chance of a shower for areas east of I-20 on Monday. By Monday evening, a cold front will sweep through, bringing cooler air and lower humidity.

Monday will still feel warm, with highs in the mid to upper 80s, but Tuesday will bring a noticeable drop, with highs only in the upper 70s. Overnight temperatures will also dip, with lows in the upper 50s on Monday night and some areas hitting the low 50s by Tuesday night, making for a crisp, refreshing midweek.
