Rain chances will remain low Monday-Thursday

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Get ready for some wet weather across the Southeast as moisture levels are on the rise. This means we can expect scattered rain and possibly some storms over the next few days.

Early today, there's a weak storm system moving through the Carolinas, and it's bringing some moisture with it. Behind this system, the air is a bit drier in the mountains of North Carolina, while it's more humid in central areas.

As the day goes on, we'll see some sunshine, but also some clouds building up. This mix of sun and clouds could lead to scattered showers and maybe a few thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon when things heat up a bit.

Rain chances will be around 30% Monday, increasing to 40% on Tuesday and will remain at 40% through Wednesday and Thursday until a drier pattern arrives Friday.

Temperatures will be pretty typical for this time of year, in the mid to upper 80s during the day and dropping to the mid-60s at night.

Looking ahead, we'll still have a chance of rain as we head into the end of the week. There's a system coming that could bring more showers and storms.

So, grab your umbrella and keep an eye on the sky. While severe weather isn't likely, it's always good to stay prepared when rain and storms are in the forecast.
