Very warm South Carolina weather to end October

Columbia has only received a trace of rain so far this month. If we do not get any rainfall, this month will end up being tied for the driest month ever.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Skies will be mostly sunny today. Temperatures will be warmer than yesterday. Halloween will be very warm, and the warm temperatures will continue for the start of November.

Yesterday was mainly cloudy and mild. High temperatures were in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Columbia reported a high of 71 degrees. There was also a trace of rain at the airport.

The Columbia airport has only received a trace of rain so far this month. If we do not get any rainfall, this month will end up being tied for the driest month on record in Columbia. The last time South Carolina got any substantial rainfall was September 27. That was in association with Hurricane Helene.

The next several days are expected to be warm and dry. Today highs will return to the upper 70s to nearly 80 degrees under mostly sunny conditions. Halloween will be unseasonably warm, with highs in the lower 80s under partly cloudy conditions.

The first day of November will feel more like spring with afternoon temperatures in the lower 80s, but a front will move through later in the day. This front will bring down temperatures slightly for the weekend.

Temperatures will be warmer today than yesterday. Halloween will be very warm too. Here is this morning's seven day forecast.

High temperatures on Saturday will be in the lower 80s. Temperatures on Sunday will be in the middle 70s. For the start of the workweek, temperatures will return to the lower 80s. There is a small chance of rain on Election Day, but as of now, any shower activity will be isolated.
