Looking Back:

Ten years ago, on November 1, 2014, South Carolina experienced its earliest and heaviest snowfall on record. The previous earliest and heaviest snowfall occurred on November 4, 1930, when 2-inches fell at Caesars Head.

The snowfall did cause I-20 near Gilbert to briefly close, and there were some power outages. The impacts of this historic snow were relatively small, but for those who witnessed it, they will likely never forget the November 1 snow event.
