Unseasonably warm weather will continue across the Midlands this weekend. There will be little chance for rain until late Sunday. Finally sunshine is expected for Saturday.
A storm system will be developing over the southern Plains Saturday night and moving east on Sunday. This will bring the threat of severe weather to a good portion of the Southeast. A line of thunderstorms is expected to move through the Midlands late Sunday afternoon into the evening. There will be a threat of severe weather so monitor the forecasts over the weekend.
The cold front will pass through the Midlands Sunday night bringing an end to the rain. Colder, drier air will begin to push into the area on breezy conditions on Monday. The coldest air will settle over the region mid-week bringing the threat of a hard freeze Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Temperatures will moderate into the weekend and it should remain dry for the remainder of the workweek.
