Power outages exceed 1.3 million in South Carolina due to Helene

Here's a list of numbers you'll want to keep handy.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Power outages in South Carolina are extensive due to Tropical Storm Helene's track through the southeastern U.S.

The storm's those tropical storm force winds, coupled with rain that soaked the ground a day earlier, toppled trees and power lines in some of the most widespread damage the central South Carolina area has ever seen.

As of 11:49 p.m., statewide outages stood at at 1.289 million, down from a peak of 1.387 million earlier in the morning according to PowerOutage.US's website. Dominion Energy alone reported almost 376,000 but that number has declined to 325,000.

In Lexington County, just over 107,000 were without power, while in Richland County, 98,000 didn't have electricity. Those numbers, however, are down from an earlier peak of 122,000 and 104,000, respectively.

Below is a list of numbers and websites to reach out to if you have a power outage.
