IRMO, S.C. — The Irmo Police welcomed a trunk load of donations for the summer months from Irmo community member Jada Powell.
“So sitting at my house last week and it’s 100 something degrees outside and it was 80 degrees in my house," explains Powell, "and I couldn’t help but think: ‘I have a working AC, how many people do not?’ So I made a Facebook post and this is what the response was and I’d love to get more so if people are willing to donate fans and water, I’d be glad to come get it from ya.”

Jada is also the organizer behind the yearly Community Easter Egg Hunt with an underlying goal of bringing the community together.
This car full of stuff was donated by only two community members- if you would like to donate yourself you can bring them to the Irmo Police Department or Splurge on Woodrow Street.
The Irmo Police deliver these fans and water to seniors in the community who are in need.
