LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities have made two arrests in connection with a deadly Lexington County shooting. Meanwhile, the search continues for another suspect.

According to the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, deputies and members of the U.S. Marshals arrested a man and woman on Thursday afternoon in connection with a shooting that happened in 2022.

Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon said in a provided statement that the South Congaree Police Department notified deputies in September 2022 when they discovered a car on Edmund Highway that had two passengers who appeared to have gunshot wounds.

One passenger was taken to the hospital, where they were treated and released. The other passenger, 22-year-old Harold Lord Peak III, died. Authorities said he was shot multiple times.

The ongoing investigation since that day eventually led deputies to evidence suggesting 25-year-old Chendrick Jawan Brown and 24-year-old Ziyon Ta'hib McKnight were led to the location by another suspect, 26-year-old London Ja Kia Oliver. Investigators believe they waited for the victims to leave and shot them while they were driving by.

Brown and Oliver were arrested on Thursday and taken to the Lexington County Detention Center after being denied bond. Brown was charged with murder and conspiracy. Oliver was charged with conspiracy and accessory before the fact.

The third suspect, McKnight, is still wanted on charges of murder and conspiracy.

Anyone with additional information about the 2022 crime or McKnight's location should call 911.
