COLUMBIA, S.C. — The Columbia Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened late Sunday morning near a busy intersection.
A spokesperson for the department said the shooting happened around 11:15 a.m. near the corner of Huger and Blossom streets. The victim was allegedly in a parked car at the time of the shooting. The circumstances of the shooting are still under investigation, and police say that investigation is still in the early stages.
The department said her gunshot wound is not considered life-threatening.
