Teens charged in death of pizza delivery driver in Columbia

The shooting happened at an apartment complex on Stonebridge Drive on Nov. 29.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Police have arrested two teens in connection with the violent death of a pizza delivery driver in late November.

The department said that 18-year-old Trevor Harris and a 17-year-old male relative had been charged with murder, attempted armed robbery, criminal conspiracy, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Both were found at a home in West Columbia by the U.S. Marshals Service. They're now being held at Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

Their arrests follow the shooting death of 48-year-old Christopher Shirah, a Pizza Hut driver who arrived at a vacant home at 143 Stoneridge Drive - Tamarind at StoneBridge Apartments - on Nov. 29, 2023. Investigators believe the suspects intended to rob Shirah the night they shot and killed him before leaving the scene.
