Crash on Bluff Road leaves one dead in Richland County

Authorities said the crash happened just before midnight and involved a single vehicle.

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — One person has died following a crash off Bluff Road in Richland County, officials say.

Corporal Tyler Tidwell with the South Carolina Highway Patrol said the crash happened around 11:30 p.m. and involved a single vehicle - a 2010 Ford F-150.

Tidwell said the Ford truck was heading east on Bluff Road when it left the road to the right and then traveled onto McCords Ferry Road. Tidwell said the truck then overturned. The driver, who was the only person in the truck, died from injuries sustained in the crash.

The Richland County Coroner's Office hasn't yet released the name of the deceased.
