COLUMBIA, S.C. — Crews from the Columbia-Richland Fire Department fought a two-alarm fire at a former Dollar Tree in Columbia Monday evening.
Second-shift crews answered the call of a fire reported in the 4000 block of West Beltline Boulevard in Columbia around 9:50 p.m. on Monday. Arriving at the scene, CRFD crews observed heavy smoke and fire coming from the building.
After calling for more resources, firefighters successfully brought the blaze under control. No injuries were reported during this incident.
This was the second fire at the West Beltline location. The initial fire occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 28 and took hours to get under control.
The cause of the latest fire is under investigation.
