Deputies investigate after victim found shot near Broad River Road business

Authorities ask anyone with information about the shooting to contact Crime Stoppers.

UPDATE: The Richland County Sheriff's Department updated its previous release, suggesting the correct incident location was 2224 Broad River Road - an address across the street from what it previously provided. 

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. -- The Richland County Sheriff's Department is investigating a shooting after deputies responded to a Broad River Road business on Sunday morning and found a victim wounded.

A department spokesperson said deputies responded to 2224 Broad River Road around 5 a.m. to a person shot. They found a man who was shot in the arm. Authorities didn't say what led up to the shooting or who may be responsible. The sheriff's department is still investigating the shooting but said it was an isolated incident and that there doesn't appear to be a threat to the general public.
