Deputies search for armed robbery suspect after incident in Killian Road area

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. — Authorities are on the lookout for a suspect who allegedly threatened someone with a knife and robbed them in the Killian Road area on Saturday evening.

A spokesperson for the Richland County Sheriff's Department said deputies set up a perimeter in the area and were searching with K-9 units after the robbery was reported around 6:30 p.m. No injuries were reported.

The K-9 units and perimeter were later called off. But authorities haven't yet made an arrest in the incident. News19 received reports about a police response in the area of Killian Road near Wilson Boulevard and I-77 around 7:30 p.m.
