CLARENDON COUNTY, S.C. — A four-day search for the suspect in a deadly stabbing in Clarendon County has ended with an arrest.
The Clarendon County Sheriff's Office said on Friday that deputies took Lauriano Josefin-Antonio into custody in the Alcolu area on Thursday evening, just days after he allegedly killed his father in the same area. Investigators believe Josefin-Antonio stabbed German Josefin inside a home on Hotel Street during a fight on Sunday.
The sheriff's office said the son ran from the scene shortly after the incident and, despite several law enforcement officers establishing a perimeter and the use of a K-9 officer, Josefin-Antonio remained on the run until Thursday night.
Authorities believe the stabbing was an isolated incident.
