Woman arrested in stabbing at truck stop on Bluff Road in Columbia

The incident happened around 9:30 a.m. Sunday.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Columbia Police have arrested a woman they say stabbed a man at a truck stop in Columbia.

Officers said late Monday afternoon that they'd taken a 45-year-old Christina Grooms into custody, charging her with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature. 

Police said the incident happened around 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the Petro Gas Shopping Center in the 2100 block of Bluff Road just off I-77. Police said the victim and the suspect, who are acquaintances, got into an argument. During the verbal fight, investigators believe the woman stabbed the man. 

Police said at last check, the victim remains in stable condition at the hospital.
